Terms
General
Renter must be 21 years of age or older to book an event at 3 Stories. Renter must present a valid state ID, Driver’s license, or passport at the time of booking. A copy of Renter’s identification will be kept on file for verification purposes only. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Please do not bring candles or foods that need to be heated with open flames (unless you have a professional caterer). Please do not decorate with glitter, confetti, or sparklers.
Renter is required to complete set-up and tear-down within this defined timeframe. All outside deliveries/pickups must be made within this defined timeframe. If tear-down and removal of 3 Stories’s equipment it not completed by the end of the rental time, Renter will be responsible for additional rental time at the overtime rate listed in the accompanying booking form.
Payments, Deposits & Cancellations
At the time of booking, Renter is required to place a credit card on file to pay a deposit of 50% of the total rental cost. The 50% deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days prior to the rental date. If the balance is not paid by the 30th day prior to the rental date, the credit card on file will be automatically charged on the 29th day prior to the rental date. 3 Stories has the right to cancel a rental for non-payment.
A Security Deposit in the amount of $500 is required and a credit card to hold such deposit must be provided to 3 Stories upon check-in on the rental date.
Renter will not receive any portion of the non-refundable deposit in the event that a rental is canceled or postponed. A cancellation/transfer fee of $100 will be charged at the time of cancellation/transfer.
If a rental is canceled at least 30 days prior to the rental date, Renter may apply their deposit toward a future rental date (transfer). The transfer date must be within 12 calendar months of the original rental date. Only one transfer is allowed per rental.
If a rental is canceled less than 30 days prior to the rental date, all payments made are nonrefundable, and the balance of the rental price will be charged to Renter’s credit card on file.
3 Stories will not provide refunds for situations beyond the control of 3 Stories, including, but not limited to, delays due to road construction/closures, weather, death, acts of God, etc.
Catering, Cleaning & Trash
3 Stories, will be in a clean and good condition prior to Renter’s event. Renter is required to return the Venue to the same clean condition it was in when Renter took possession, unless payment for advanced cleaning was made. Otherwise, all trash must be collected, properly bagged and removed by Renter or an individual or entity working on Renter’s behalf. Renter is responsible for wiping down all furniture used and ensuring that no spills/stains are left behind. All furniture/equipment/decorations brought into the Venue by Renter or Renter’s Associates must be removed from the premises prior to the expiration of the rental period. Failure to return the Venue to the same clean and good condition it was in when Renter took possession will result in the loss of all or part of Renter’s Security Deposit. Similarly, any damage inflicted upon the Venue by Renter and/or Renter’s Associates may also result in the loss of all or part of the Security Deposit.

What if it rains?
You have two options at the time of booking. We can reserve an inside space for you at no additional cost. You can also choose to rent a tent via our preferred vendor instead.
Can I rent hourly?
Yes, event rentals can be booked hourly, but only Monday – Thursday. There is a minimum booking requirement of 4 hours for all hourly event rentals. Photo/video-shoot rentals have a required minimum booking period of 2 hours.
How do I book my event?
Events are booked on a first come first served basis. Please call us at 713.533.1455 or stop by the location to make your deposit. Please complete your rental agreement within 24 hours of booking.
Is there an elevator?
Currently, there is not an elevator. We will have an elevator by March 2024. Please plan to walk up 2 flights of stairs. Be aware that vendors will bring items up the stairs and may require a per-flight fee. Upon request, we also have a moving staff for a low additional fee to bring your items up.
How many restrooms are available?
We have 2 restrooms with 3 toilets, 2 showers, and 1 changing area located on the second floor. We have more restrooms available as well on the first floor.
Is law enforcement available?
If you’re serving alcohol at your event, then yes, we require that you have at least two uniformed officers designated to work your event and these offices will be booked via 3 Stories.
How early can deliveries be made for my event?
Delivers, setup and breakdown, should be completed during your rental period.
What is the alcohol policy?
It’s BYOB! You must use our licensed bar staff. There is a small corking fee that includes labor, bar mixers, bar needs, ice, and more. You may not sell alcohol at your event. We can also source the alcohol on your behalf. When alcohol is being served, a minimum of two HPD officers are required.
