General

Renter must be 21 years of age or older to book an event at 3 Stories. Renter must present a valid state ID, Driver’s license, or passport at the time of booking. A copy of Renter’s identification will be kept on file for verification purposes only. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

Renter is required to complete set-up and tear-down within this defined timeframe. All outside deliveries/pickups must be made within this defined timeframe. 

Payments, Deposits & Cancellations

At the time of booking, Renter is required to place a credit card on file to pay a deposit of 50% of the total rental cost. The 50% deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days prior to the rental date. If the balance is not paid by the 30th day prior to the rental date, the credit card on file will be automatically charged on the 29th day prior to the rental date. 3 Stories has the right to cancel a rental for non-payment.

A Security Deposit in the amount of $750 is required and a credit card to hold such deposit must be provided to 3 Stories upon check-in on the rental date.

Renter will not receive any portion of the non-refundable deposit in the event that a rental is canceled or postponed. A cancellation/transfer fee of $100 will be charged at the time of cancellation/transfer.

If a rental is canceled at least 30 days prior to the rental date, Renter may apply their deposit toward a future rental date (transfer). The transfer date must be within 12 calendar months of the original rental date. Only one transfer is allowed per rental.

If a rental is canceled less than 30 days prior to the rental date, all payments made are nonrefundable, and the balance of the rental price will be charged to Renter’s credit card on file.

3 Stories will not provide refunds for situations beyond the control of 3 Stories, including, but not limited to, delays due to road construction/closures, weather, death, acts of God, etc.

Catering, Cleaning & Trash

3 Stories, will be in a clean and good condition prior to Renter’s event. Renter is required to return the Venue to the same clean condition it was in when Renter took possession, unless payment for advanced cleaning was made. Otherwise, all large trash must be collected, properly bagged and removed by Renter or an individual or entity working on Renter’s behalf.  All furniture/equipment/decorations brought into the Venue by Renter or Renter’s Associates must be removed from the premises prior to the expiration of the rental period. Failure to return the Venue to the same clean and good condition it was in when Renter took possession will result in the loss of all or part of Renter’s Security Deposit. Similarly, any damage inflicted upon the Venue by Renter and/or Renter’s Associates may also result in the loss of all or part of the Security Deposit.

What if it rains?

You have two options at the time of booking. We can reserve an inside space for you at no additional cost. You can also choose to rent a tent via our preferred vendor instead. 

Can I rent hourly?

Our interior space can be rented by the hour. 

Most events require the time allotted to setup (2-3 hours), have the event (4-5 hours), and breakdown (1-2 hours). 

The Rooftop has a 8 hour minimum. While we understand your event may not need the full time, the base rate is still applicable.

If I rent Studo 3 or Studio 4, will I have access to the Rooftop?

Renting Studio 3 or Studio 4 does not give you access to the Rooftop. 

However, renting the Rooftop allows you the flexibility of the interior space. 

How do I book my event?

Events are booked on a first come first served basis. Please call us at 713.533.1455 or stop by the location to make your deposit. The first step is signing the agreement forms and then placing your 50% rental fee deposit down.

Is there an elevator?

We will have a wheelchair / cargo lift by April 2024.  The lift holds up to 1,000 pounds and the dimensions are 48 x 48.  Larger or heavier items may be taken up the stairwell. 

Upon request, we also have a moving staff for a low additional fee to bring your items up.

How many restrooms are available?

We have 2 restrooms with 3 toilets, 2 showers, and 1 changing area located on the second floor. We have more restrooms available as well on the first floor.

Is law enforcement available?

If you’re serving alcohol at your event, then yes, we require that you have uniformed officers designated to work your event. These officers will be booked via 3 Stories or you may provide your own. One officer per every 100 person increment,

How early can deliveries be made for my event?

Delivers, setup and breakdown, should be completed during your rental period.

What is the alcohol policy?

It’s BYOB! You must use our licensed bar staff. There is a small Corkage Fee that includes labor, bar mixers, bar needs, ice, and more. You may not sell alcohol at your event. We can also source the alcohol on your behalf. When alcohol is being served HPD may be required.

Are hookahs or cigars allowed?

You may smoke Cigars on the Rooftop if you have rented that space. Only electric hookahs are allowed and only on the Rooftop. 

Is Wifi available?

Yes

What is included with the rental?

  • Up to ten 60″ Round Tables or 8′ Rectangular Tables
  • Up to Four 6′ rectangular tables
  • Patio heaters, during certain months
  • Outdoor A/C Coolers, during certain months
  • Mic & PA system
  • Professional Bar on the Rooftop. The venue may provide a Mobile Bar.

What are the holiday days and rates?

There is a twenty percent (20%) price increase for events hosted on holidays, which may extend to holiday weekends and the day before a holiday. Saturday pricing will apply to all Sunday events the day before a Monday holiday, and Saturday pricing will apply to events held on New Year’s Eve.

Holidays include New Years Eve, New Years Day, Valentines Day, MLK Day, Presidents Day, St Patrick’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Day, Cinco De Mayo, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Memorial Weekend, Independence Day, Independence Weekend, Labor Day, Labor Weekend, Columbus Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas.

Friday pricing will apply for Thursday events in the month of December.

Any discounts for non-profits?

Our prices are firm. Please take advantage of our lower priced rentals during the weekdays.

How to book:

  1. Choose your date and time
  2. Call us to book with your non refundable deposit which is 50% of your total balance
  3. Sign your rental agreement within 24 hours of booking
  4. Pay your remaining rental balance at least 30 days prior to your event date
  5. Plan to have a fabulous time!
